Every week an English task from the homework book will be assigned. The date and page number will be detailed below.
A maths task based on what we have covered that week will be sent home as well. The sheet should be stuck into home learning book at home.
Please mark the homework with your son/daughter at home. This allows you to support any corrections gain a further insight into what is expected. Homework books can be handed in at the end of every half term for the class teacher to sign.

Children can change their home reading books whenever they like during the week however, they must show a good understanding of the text to change books. If you child cannot tell us about and answer questions on what they have read they will not be able to change books. Are the children learning to read or reading to learn? Both important skills in Year 3!

Active Learn – you will find maths, grammar and English games and activities.
Bug Club (Active Learn) – undoubtedly the most important home learning based on the internet. Children will have access to a huge variety of their reading ability books online. They all feature useful, and curriculum based questions to test their understanding and I can see the children’s answers and how many questions they have correct. This gives me a brilliant insight in to their understanding and the gaps in their knowledge.
