Welcome to Calverley Parkside Nursery

At Calverley Parkside, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where your child’s educational journey begins. We offer flexible options to suit your family's needs, ensuring every child feels safe, happy, and ready to learn.

Our Opening Hours

To provide a consistent routine for our little learners, the Nursery day begins at 8:30 am and concludes at 3:30 pm.

Funding and Places

We offer both 15-hour and 30-hour funded places. Because our full school day runs for 7 hours, we provide an additional hour of Lunch Provision to ensure continuous care and social development during mealtimes.

30-Hour Places (Full-Time) For children attending full-time, the schedule runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Funding covers 6 hours of provision per day. To cover the full 7-hour school day, an additional hour of lunch provision is payable daily.

15-Hour Places (Part-Time) Our 15-hour places are structured into two set options, both totalling 17 hours per week (15 funded hours plus 2 hours of paid lunch provision).

• Option 1 (Start of Week): This includes full days on Monday and Tuesday (8:30 am – 3:30 pm) and a morning session on Wednesday (8:30 am – 11:30 am). An additional hour of lunch provision is payable for both the Monday and Tuesday sessions.

• Option 2 (End of Week): This includes an afternoon session on Wednesday (12:30 pm – 3:30 pm) and full days on Thursday and Friday (8:30 am – 3:30 pm). An additional hour of lunch provision is payable for both the Thursday and Friday sessions.

Wraparound Care

For families needing to extend the school day, we offer high-quality, on-site care in a familiar environment. Our Before School Club starts at 7:45 am at a cost of £5.50 per day. Our After School Care runs until 5:30 pm and costs £11.00 per day.

Our Nursery Staff

Hello! My name is Mrs Wootton  and I am the Nursery Class Teacher. I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you and your family to Calverley Parkside and to say how delighted I am to be teaching our new Nursery class.  

At Calverley Parkside we aim to provide a secure, friendly, stimulating, enjoyable environment where children can learn whilst having fun together, supported by an enthusiastic and professional team of staff, as shown above.

At Calverley Parkside Nursery we offer a broad and balanced Early Years curriculum using the Early Learning Goals as our starting point. This is based on three prime areas of learning, which are interconnected and support development in other areas:

• Personal, social and emotional development
• Communication and language
• Physical development

In addition to these prime areas are 4 specific areas:

• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the World
• Expressive Arts & Design

We aim to develop and enhance this curriculum, offering children as many learning opportunities as possible.
