 Supporting Pupil Wellbeing

During the period of school closure, we understand that there are many challenges for families who are educating their children at home. We know that many children will be finding it difficult being away from school and their friends. We have tried to organise our remote education in such a way that it allows children to still have regular contact with their class teacher through the use of some recorded lessons and regular feedback.

Google Meets

Each week, all children from Reception upwards who are learning at home will have  the opportunity to attend a Google Meet hosted by their class teacher. Details of these meets will be sent via the Google Classroom.

Additional resources

Here are some links to some additional resources which have been provided by the government to support families who may be concerned about the impact that the current situation is having on young people:

Learning Mentor

Mrs Stark is the Learning Mentor at Calverley Parkside. Part of her role is to support children who are finding things difficult for a variety of different reasons. Mrs Stark is contactable in school should you feel that a conversation with her would be beneficial.
